The Alekos Fassianos Museum announces that its museum’s spaces are expanding with the addition of the artist authentic atelier.
The Alekos Fassianos Αtelier in Athens, housed in the third floor of the Alekos Fassianos museum, is a recreation of his studio in Athens. Visitors are invited to discover a more personal side of the artist by entering his room, seeing his clothes, his pallets, his personal objects, pictures, non finito works, his wardrobe, including clothes he sewed and designed, toys he created and played with as a child.
The space sheds light on the artist’s character and way of living which were an integral part of his way of creating. It emphasizes on his mutilfaceted personality and illustrates his curiosity to experiment with different mediums: bronze, metal, wood, ceramic. He wanted to keep the objects of his everyday life always close to him, which is why we see them scattered throughout the space. On the floor, on trays, on shelves.

Visits will be organized in small groups and will start every hour from the museum entrance for a duration of about 20 minutes.

Free admission: 0€ children and young people up to 18 years old, disabled persons and their companion, unemployed persons with the demonstration of an active oaed card, chamber of fine arts of Greece, employees of the ministry of culture, holders of a free admission card to museums, journalists, diplomatic guides, icomos card holders)
Extended ticket for access to Alekos Fassianos Atelier: +3€ on the individual entrance ticket.
