With the support of Trendyol, emerging Greek artists are invited to showcase their work in Istanbul, opening new opportunities for international visibility and cross-cultural collaboration.
For the first time, Greece has been selected as the Guest Country at BASE 2026, one of Türkiye’s most significant contemporary art exhibitions, attracting around 20,000 visitors annually. Supported by Trendyol as the exhibition’s Main Sponsor and Cultural Partner, the initiative will give emerging Greek artists the opportunity to present their work in Istanbul alongside more than 150 young artists from Türkiye as part of a dedicated section of the exhibition.
The exhibition will feature works across a broad spectrum of contemporary artistic practices, including painting, photography, video, graphic and visual communication design, textiles, traditional crafts, artistic glass, ceramics, sculpture and animation. Eligible applicants are current students or graduates from the past ten years of Greek Schools of Fine Arts or related institutions.
Greek artists are invited to submit a PDF portfolio containing a selection of their work, a CV and contact details by 13 September 2026. An Instagram profile link may also be included.
Beyond exhibition opportunities, the initiative aims to strengthen cultural exchange between Greece and Türkiye, offering young creators a valuable platform for international exposure, professional development and future collaborations between the two countries’ contemporary art scenes.
A key part of this initiative is Trendyol Art, the company’s cultural programme dedicated to making contemporary art more accessible while creating opportunities for independent artists. Through collaborations with established creators and a digital platform that reaches millions of people, Trendyol has already supported more than 150 emerging artists in Türkiye. The programme also promotes cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue through partnerships with major international art events, including BASE, Contemporary Istanbul, and most recently the Turkish Pavilion at the 61st Venice Biennale.
