Megaron the Athens Concert Hall continues its collaboration with National Theatre Live, presenting on Thursday, September 29, at the Alexandra Trianti Hall, one of the greatest American plays of the 20th century: Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire, directed by Benedict Andrews.

The production, filmed live in 2014 at London’s Young Vic Theatre, achieved both critical and commercial success, hailed by the international press as one of the boldest and most electrifying revivals of the play. Gillian Anderson (Sex Education), Vanessa Kirby (The Crown), and Ben Foster (Lone Survivor) lead an exceptional cast in this timeless masterpiece by Tennessee Williams, brought to life at the Athens Concert Hall through the recorded transmission of the widely acclaimed Young Vic production.

As Blanche’s fragile world begins to crumble, she seeks solace in the support of her sister Stella — only to find herself drawn into a painful confrontation with the violent and relentless Stanley Kowalski.

This is a searing exploration of the human psyche and the collision between illusion and raw reality.
