Sean Nicholas Savage, Deftera and Johnny Labelle LIVE at ILION Plus

A unique triple bill featuring Sean Nicholas Savage, Deftera and Johnny Labelle LIVE, which, following a mini tour in Larisa and Thessaloniki in the preceding days, will culminate on Saturday, May 23 at ILION Plus in Athens.

Almost a year after the release of his latest album, “The Knowing”, on a new label (Mansions & Millions), and three years since his last concert appearances in Greece, Canadian artist Sean Nicholas Savage returns to the country for three performances, accompanied by a brand-new live band setup (synth/drums).

With his ever-unpredictable personal signature, more than ten releases on Arbutus Records, collaborations with Mac DeMarco, Molly Nilsson, Solange and many others, two underground theatre works, “Please thrill me” and “The Fear”, as well as the short musical film “The Plumber” – shot entirely on the island of Sifnos and starring Σtella, Noda Pappas and Johnny Labelle – Sean Nicholas Savage’s artistic journey is filled with bold turns and surprises.

DEFTERA

Deftera consists of Chris Scott (Το κορίτσι κοιμάται, Amka, Dark Willow) and Giorgos Athanasiou (Mufatsa, Colour For A Rebel, Το κορίτσι κοιμάται) and began as a weekly musical diary.

Through improvisation, they recorded and released 16 albums on Bandcamp, while in February 2025 they continued their creative streak with GIANT HITS, a compilation album featuring the single “Yes You Can”.

One prefers playing loud songs and the other prefers playing quiet songs. Try to guess who is who.

JOHNNY LABELLE

The dark, introspective and romantic musical world of Johnny Labelle draws influences from a wide range of styles, from dream and ambient pop to post-punk and 1950s love ballads.

He released his debut album, “Cold Fruit”, in 2019 and followed it with two records on Inner Ear, “XVII” and “May your dreams come true”, while also performing live across Greece and Europe, often alongside international indie acts such as Magic Island, Jaakko Eino Kalevi, Mega Bog and Discovery Zone.
