Brazilian Romance: Miranda Verouli Quintet at Half Note Jazz Club

1 min read

A musical trip to the land of bossa nova, samba and tropicalia

The well-known performer of Brazilian music, Miranda Verouli, together with the excellent jazzmen of her quintet, after last year’s sold out performances, returns to the Half Note Jazz Club stage and invites us to follow them on another trip to the land of bossa nova, samba and tropicalia.

They select beautiful songs from the Brazilian Songbook, by great composers such as Antônio Carlos Jobim, Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, Gilberto Gil, Marcos Valle, Milton Nascimento and, arranging them with the unique Brazilian jazz sound of the group, create an irresistible atmosphere that transports us in the nightclubs of Rio de Janeiro. At the same time, Miranda translates lyrics and tells stories from the creation of the songs, which puts us in the mood of the era.
