Four years after its birth on Skoufu Street in the heart of Athens, Ekiben Kitchen expands to Glyfada, a neighborhood that has always had the audience, curiosity, and cultural openness to embrace concepts rooted in pleasure, familiarity, and communication.

And for this very reason, Ekiben Kitchen South in Glyfada, located on Laodikis Street, carries even more “Ekiben” in its DNA: delicious, fast, comfort food with consistency and coherence, always based on carefully selected ingredients. With some dishes you can only find here. A high-end design environment with substance, balance, and knowledge one that celebrates meticulous design details. A larger space, indoors and outdoors, with music, cocktails, wine, and sake that spark interaction, communication, and relaxation. Ekiben Kitchen South enriches the very idea of Ekiben with the energy of the southern suburbs, establishing a distinctive destination with its own identity, from midday until late at night.

By nature, Ekiben Kitchen is a concept built around the idea of community. A community you want to belong to. It was born as a creative project inside Birdman and evolved into a point of reference for Athens, inspired by the culture of Ekiben—the legendary bento boxes that accompany Japanese commuters on train journeys from work to home.

From the outset, Aris Vezenes’ goal was to create a place in the city that connects people with different influences and backgrounds. Very quickly, Ekiben in the narrow street of Skoufu developed into a lively core adored by all the “tribes” of Athens a hotspot for those who believe that food is the best moment of the day, and a steady magnet for foodies from around the world who wait patiently in line to enjoy a cuisine that is simple, authentic, and delightfully indulgent.
