In Orbit Festival returns to SNFCC with three days of curated alternative music

1 min read

For the seventh consecutive year, In Orbit returns to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), offering three evenings dedicated to the most exciting voices of Athens’ contemporary alternative music scene. Taking place from 10 to 12 July at the SNFCC Dome, the festival remains committed to discovering emerging sounds at the moment they are taking shape rather than simply following established trends. Admission is free.

This year’s edition introduces a distinctive curatorial approach by inviting three influential independent record stores and labels-Dum Dum Records, Veego Records, and Syd Records-to shape each evening’s programme. More than retailers, these spaces have become cultural hubs that actively support, nurture and showcase Greece’s independent music community.

On Friday 10 July, Dum Dum Records presents a line-up blending electronic rhythms, synth-pop melodies and nostalgic indie sounds, featuring The Model Spy, Ta Toy Boy, METAMAN and Viceroy.

Saturday 11 July belongs to Veego Records, whose programme explores minimal beats, experimental electronics, jazz-infused improvisation and post-punk textures with performances by Kukuraxa, Kolida Babo, MOb and LEDELOUE.

The festival concludes on Sunday 12 July with Syd Records, presenting a diverse selection that ranges from folk-jazz and dark electro to alternative rock and spoken word through performances by Demi Spriggs, Valisia Odell, Super Stereo, and PIEV x VIKTORAS (+Guests).

Since its launch, In Orbit has established itself as a platform for artists working at the forefront of Greece’s independent music landscape, highlighting new talent through thoughtfully curated line-ups while fostering connections between musicians, audiences and the city’s vibrant DIY culture.
