Encardia make a powerful return to the Theatre of the NO, celebrating the joy of togetherness through dance, music, and collective participation On Friday, December 19th at 22.30, the stage will come alive with rhythms, colors, and emotions, from songs of longing and nostalgia to the energetic and cathartic dance forms of the tarantella.
Love, loss, anticipation, and return unfold through Encardia’s musical storytelling. Drawing inspiration from the tarantella of Salento and Naples, as well as the traditions of the Greek-speaking communities of Southern Italy, they present a fresh, explosive musical performance blending traditional songs, original compositions, contemporary arrangements, and Mediterranean dances into a single celebratory concert.
Formed in 2004, Encardia is a Greek ensemble inspired by the rich musical heritage of Southern Italy and the Mediterranean. They have performed over 3,000 live shows across Greece and Europe.

Throughout their career, they have collaborated with leading representatives of Southern Italian music, including G. Avantaggiato, R. Licci, and Cinzia Villani, as well as prominent Greek artists such as Dionysis Savvopoulos, Nikos Portokaloglou, Giorgos Dalaras, Alkinoos Ioannidis, Foivos Delivorias, Haig Yazdjian, Nikos Xydakis, Kaiti Koullia, Vasilis Lekkas etc. They have also worked with symphony orchestras, theatre groups, polyphonic ensembles, and other creators, continuously enriching their multifaceted artistic journey.
