Works by Giorgos Bouzianis, Yannis Tsarouchis and a poem by Konstantinos P. Cavafy are juxtaposed with modern and contemporary artists from the national and international scene
On the eve of its inauguration, Carco Parking will host the art group exhibition “Ephemeral Party”, the first and last exhibition to be held in this space, for only 7 days. The exhibition “Ephemeral Party” highlights an everyday public space as a lively field for meeting and exchanging ideas. It offers a reflective look at the concept of the ephemeral through the prism of dreams, time and memory.
It is a group exhibition of 19 artists and includes works in various media and materials (painting, sculpture, video, visual installations, performance actions). Works by Giorgos Bouzianis, Yannis Tsarouchis and a poem by Konstantinos P. Cavafy are juxtaposed with modern and contemporary artists from the national and international scene.
The exhibition “Ephemeral Party” is a response to fundamental questions about art in public space. The car park is reinterpreted to remind us that art can emerge in the most unexpected places, open, accessible and open to all. The space extends over three underground levels and functions as an integral part of the exhibition, intensifying its dynamism. The public is invited to wander through the space and discover works “hidden” in unexpected corners.

1st floor
“The Ephemeral of Dreams: on the first floor, the exhibition outlines the ephemeral nature of dreams. From Yannis Varela’s terrifying one-hour performance action to Robert Nava’s unreal creatures and the surreal works of Konstantinos Kakanias, David Sabethai and Panagiotis Loukas, visitors are taken on a journey through worlds that oscillate between reality and fantasy.
2nd floor
The “Ephemeris of Time: On the Second Level” explores the concept of time and existence through works that examine the futility of human experience. Konstantinos P. Cavafy introduces the audience to the paradox of human existence through the poem Keria, in conversation with Malvina Panagiotidis, Panagiotis Loukas, Iliodora Margelou, Ariana Papademetropoulos and Dimitris Getsis.

3rd floor
“The transience of memories. In dialogue with George Bouzianis and Yannis Tsarouchis, the works of Plum Cloutman, Emmanuel Bitsakis, Apostolos Georgiou, Steve Giannakou, Chrysa (Vardea), Raed Yassin and Max Hooper Schneider explore the fragility of memory and the construction of memories.
The ‘Ephemeral Party’ exhibition is a unique opportunity to see an artistic intervention in a public space, to reflect on the nature of human existence and to question how art can be integrated into our everyday lives.
