SUPERNATURAL 2026: A Celebration of Wild Fermentation in the Heart of Athens

1 min read

On Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 12:00 to 20:00, the lively halls of the Municipal Market of Kypseli will be filled with aromas, vibrant flavors, and people who believe in the power of natural creation.

SUPERNATURAL, the natural wine exhibition dedicated to wild fermentation, returns to Athens for its second edition, inviting visitors to explore the fascinating world of living, evolving products created through nature’s own processes.

The wild side of wine

At the heart of the event lies the natural process of wild fermentation, a production method that relies on the indigenous microorganisms present in the environment and in the raw ingredients themselves. This approach, which has been gaining international momentum in recent years, produces wines and fermented products with remarkable complexity, vitality, and distinctive character, revealing both the raw material and the unique terroir from which they originate.

More than 20 producers from across Greece will present natural wines with personality, wild-fermented beers, kombucha, and other products that continue to evolve in the glass or on the plate. Here, nothing is entirely predictable. Each sip becomes a small discovery.

Participating producers (selection)

Among the producers taking part are:

  • Biological Vineyards Kontozisis (Karditsa)

Gastronomic collaborations

The tasting experience will be complemented by fermented coffee from the roasteries Sortie (Thessaloniki) and June (Botanikos), alongside dishes that highlight fermented ingredients such as sourdough bread and sauerkraut, prepared by the Athens restaurant More Feelings in Koukaki.

Pop-up store

In addition to the one-day exhibition, a pop-up store will operate in the same venue from March 9 to March 15 (12:00–20:00), offering visitors the opportunity to purchase selected natural wines and products featured in the event.

Where wine lives and evolves

SUPERNATURAL is more than a wine fair. It is an immersive experience.

It is a chance to taste wines that express their place of origin without intervention, to meet the people behind the bottles, to hear the stories behind the labels, and to discover how fermentation can become a philosophy of life.

Organized by the natural wine distribution company Eklektikon in collaboration with the Municipal Market of Kypseli, the event highlights small independent producers and a more authentic, experiential approach to taste.
