STEGI.RADIO Returns to Pedion tou Areos with DJs, Live Sets and Summer Energy in Athens’ Largest Park

2 mins read

From June 12 to 28, STEGI.RADIO returns to Pedion tou Areos, transforming Athens’ largest urban park into an open-air gathering point filled with music, sunset vibes, and free events. More than 60 DJs, producers, musicians, and selectors will take part in a 16-day festival that brings together local talent, international guests, and two of the world’s most influential web radio stations.

One year after Plásmata 3, the Onassis Stegi online radio station brings its iconic booth back to the park, creating a vibrant sonic landscape that spans electronic music, house, jazz, funk, soul, experimental sounds, UK club culture, and global rhythms. STEGI.RADIO: Live from the Park offers a unique opportunity to experience Athens in conversation with the wider world through music.

This year’s edition also marks the first collaboration between STEGI.RADIO and two internationally renowned web radio stations: Brussels-based Kiosk Radio and New York’s The Lot Radio. From June 26 to 28, the three stations will present a shared lineup featuring residents and collaborators such as Aquiles Navarro, Deena Abdelwahed, RHR, Toribio, and Athens-based rising artist kvadosh.

Another highlight is the festival’s partnership with TMLab, which will curate one full day of programming, while a dedicated African Voices weekend will feature talks, dance, live performances, and DJ sets celebrating African cultures and communities. Artists include Sisso & Maiko, Jyoty, Awesome Tapes From Africa, and Coco Maria.

The program unfolds across four broad musical strands:

New Club explores the spectrum of contemporary club music, featuring names such as RHR, Jyoty, Deena Abdelwahed, Scorpio Qveen, Le Lion, and kvadosh.
Downtempo moves through ambient, dub, dream pop, and electronic textures with artists including Lefto Early Bird, Black Athena, Papaioannou, and Lovie.
Eclectic focuses on deep cuts, rare sounds, experimental electronics, and special listening sessions, including a tribute to Dead Can Dance by renowned Greek radio producer Giannis Petridis.
World celebrates musical traditions and contemporary sounds from across the globe, with African Voices collaborations, Beirut Groove Collective, Coco Maria, and Tash LC among the featured artists.

Throughout the festival, visitors can enjoy sunset DJ sets, live performances, listening sessions, and a specially curated outdoor bar by Nokela Project serving refreshing cocktails.
