The award-winning Sani Resort announces the first major name of Sani Festival 2026, setting the tone for another year of strong artistic impact. Robert Plant, one of the most iconic artists in the history of global music, will take to the Sani Hill stage on Saturday, July 11, 2026, inaugurating this year’s festival with a unique concert.

At Sani Festival 2026, Plant will perform alongside Saving Grace, with whom he has collaborated since 2019, and vocalist Suzi Dian, in a concert promising an unforgettable musical experience, charged harmonies, and refined artistic sensibility.

Robert Plant is widely regarded as one of the most important voices in rock history. An artist of extraordinary expressiveness and lasting influence, he has moved audiences worldwide for nearly six decades—from the legendary era of Led Zeppelin to his ever-evolving and creatively restless solo journey.

In September 2025, Plant released the album “Saving Grace.” The record features ten reinterpretations ranging from traditional melodies to gospel, blues, and rock, forming the core of a successful global tour. His artistic path has consistently been marked by exploration and boldness. A notable example is his Grammy Award-winning collaboration with Alison Krauss in 2009-a partnership that earned international acclaim and reaffirmed his enduring artistic value and ability to reinvent himself.

The announcement of Robert Plant marks the first in a series of significant performances that will shape the Sani Festival 2026 program. For more than three decades, the festival has hosted artists and legends of the global music scene, crafting a diverse musical journey that spans rock, jazz, world music, and timeless Greek melodies—set against the unique natural backdrop of the Aegean Sea.

Sani Festival: A unique cultural event in the heart of Halkidiki with a “Green” identity

Sani Festival is one of Greece’s most important cultural events. Held every summer at Sani Resort—the internationally acclaimed destination of the Sani/Ikos Group in Kassandra, Halkidiki-it attracts audiences from across Greece and abroad, whether staying at the resort or visiting exclusively for the performances. Beyond its high-level artistic program, visitors have the opportunity to discover Halkidiki’s unparalleled natural beauty, golden beaches, and distinctive cultural identity.

The festival further strengthens its commitment to sustainable event management by adopting practices that reduce its environmental footprint. As part of Sani Resort-the first carbon-neutral resort in Greece-the festival operates entirely on electricity from 100% renewable sources with guaranteed origin. Responsible practices are integrated at every stage of the organization, from eliminating single-use plastics in the concert area and recycling all packaging, to transporting visitors with electric vehicles and implementing comprehensive materials and resource management.

In this context, Sani Festival aligns with the international sustainable event management standard ISO 20121, becoming the first music festival in Greece to commit to sustainability, in collaboration with TÜV Austria Hellas. In doing so, it combines culture with environmental respect, offering an inspiring experience in harmony with nature and the vision of the Sani/Ikos Group.

Since 1992, the festival has hosted more than 400 concerts and performances, bringing to Sani Hill artists who have shaped global music history alongside contemporary creative voices. Among them are international legends such as Andrea Bocelli, Plácido Domingo, Tom Jones, Bonnie Tyler, Bob Geldof, Al Di Meola, Ludovico Einaudi, Cesaria Evora, Ahmad Jamal, Tito Puente, Abbey Lincoln, Cassandra Wilson, Yann Tiersen, Arturo Sandoval, Charles Lloyd, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Joss Stone, Daniel Hope, Brad Mehldau, Michel Legrand, Branford Marsalis, and Alison Moyet, as well as emblematic Greek creators and performers such as Nikos Papazoglou, Dionysis Savvopoulos, Eleni Karaindrou, Alkistis Protopsalti, Eleftheria Arvanitaki, Dimitra Galani, Giorgos Dalaras, Stavros Xarhakos, Maria Farantouri, and Thanos Mikroutsikos.

The festival’s international recognition is underscored by Sani Resort’s distinction as World’s Leading Cultural Destination Resort at the World Travel Awards for four consecutive years (2022–2025).
