Release Athens x SNF Nostos 2026, presented by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, adds a third exciting day to its program, following the already announced headliners David Byrne and Gorillaz.

On Monday, June 22, at the Clearing of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), we welcome Jean-Michel Jarre – one of the true pioneers of electronic music – for a night that blends music, technology, and spectacle, promising an unforgettable experience for every audience member.

More announcements regarding the day’s lineup will follow.

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) partners with Release Athens Festival on the occasion of its 30 years of charitable activity, bringing culture and music closer to everyone. With the support of SNF, ticket prices are offered at 40–50% lower than what is usually expected for similar large-scale events.

Jean-Michel Jarre is not simply a pioneering musician; he is the visionary who brought progressive electronic music into the mainstream and paved the way for synth pop, new age, and trance. In 1976, he rose to global fame with Oxygène, a stunning synth odyssey recorded in his home studio that sold over 12 million copies worldwide.

Fifty years later, with 22 studio albums and more than 85 million records sold, he continues to innovate – recently captivating over 120,000 spectators in Bratislava with Bridge From The Future and impressing audiences at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games.

His concerts are immersive spectacles that exceed expectations, combining powerful soundscapes with laser shows and mesmerizing visual effects. He has repeatedly broken world records for audience attendance, drawing one million spectators at Place de la Concorde, 1.3 million in Houston, 2.5 million at La Défense, and 3.5 million in Moscow.

He was also the first Western artist to perform in China, a tour documented in the legendary 1981 live album The Concerts in China. Over the years, he has transformed iconic locations into monumental performance canvases, including the Pyramids of Egypt, the Sahara Desert, the Forbidden City, the Dead Sea, and the Eiffel Tower.

Monday, June 22, will bring Jarre to the Clearing of the SNFCC for a spectacular show that encapsulates his groundbreaking career, his evolution through the decades, and his timeless influence. His music remains as relevant as ever, and his live performances continue to enthrall audiences – offering both longtime fans and new listeners the chance to experience the energy and magic of one of electronic music’s truly singular creators.
