A new photobook by Zoetrope Athens brings together 35 Greek women photographers, weaving their perspectives into a visual anthology of contemporary female experience
The independent art space Zoetrope Athens presents the photobook “Inflorescences” on Saturday, December 13 at 18:30, at Kimolou 17, Kypseli.
Drawing inspiration from the botanical concept of inflorescence-the arrangement, coexistence, and collaboration of flowers on a shared stem- the publication brings together and highlights the work of 35 contemporary Greek women photographers, aiming to showcase their creative force and contribute to their visibility.
Through a unified narrative shaped by the constellation of their personal perspectives, the book interweaves the artists’ lived experiences, forming a visual anthology of contemporary female existence.
The book is curated by Alexandra Saliba and Giorgos Giatromanolakis, with the generous sponsorship and support of Pletsa | Kardari Printing House and Perrakis Papers, and with the financial support and under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture.
