The retrospective exhibition of acclaimed Greek photographer Spyros Poros, titled Imprint 30, is presented at the Old Oil Mill of Eleusis, in collaboration with 2023 Eleusis – European Capital of Culture. The exhibition brings together more than 160 photographs from across Poros’ body of work, covering three decades of uninterrupted artistic creation (1995–2025). The opening will take place on Monday, December 8th (19:00).
The exhibition showcases human stories, ritual practices, and everyday moments that highlight the diversity and vitality of human experience. Through iconic series such as Golden Ratio (2015), The Apology of Heroes (2017), Panta Rhei (2002), and the more recent transition, visitors are invited into the world that Spyros Poros loved and captured: dreamlike states, faces carrying centuries of history, and ordinary moments transformed into poetry through the lens.
From street portraits in Egypt and Argentina to emblematic celebrity images, such as Jennifer Lopez at the Acropolis and Harvey Keitel in New York, dancers of the Cuban National Ballet, and flowers metamorphosed into sculptural forms.
“For thirty years I have held the camera like a diary. Every click is a page of my life and of the world I have walked through,” the photographer notes.

Spyros Poros has shaped his visual language through a constant search for beauty, wherever it may reside. He reveals the sensuousness of the human body without lyrical exaggeration and captures the struggle for survival without resorting to exoticism.

The exhibition systematically and comprehensively presents Poros’ photographic craft and its international resonance, creating a complete mosaic of the themes and approaches that have defined his journey.
