Art Athina 2026 Returns with a New Date and Venue at Onassis Ready

Art Athina 2026 renews its annual appointment with art lovers, this time in a new time frame and a new venue: from 12 to 16 November 2026, at Onassis Ready

The largest annual gathering of visual arts in Greece, organized by the Hellenic Art Galleries Association and directed by Antonis Kourkoulos, relocates this year from the Zappeion Megaron, where it had been consistently hosted since 2019. This change follows the temporary closure of the historic building due to renovation works, ahead of Greece’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2027. With a history spanning 33 years, Art Athina stands among the longest-running art fairs in Europe, maintaining a steady focus on showcasing contemporary Greek and international artistic production, while demonstrating a strong ability to adapt to shifting conditions.

The new venue, Onassis Ready, part of the Onassis Foundation, has already secured its place on the city’s cultural map. The relocation of the fair to the industrial area of Agios Ioannis Rentis signals a new chapter for the event, offering both audiences and galleries a different spatial and experiential framework.

Preparations for the upcoming edition are already underway, aiming, as every year, to present a carefully curated overview of the contemporary art scene.
