On Saturday, June 13, STOA Culture welcomes Theodore to celebrate its opening with a concept concert specially designed for the venue, titled “A Cold Summer.”
Theodore opens STOA’s concert summer season, presenting a special live performance with his new band and special guests to be announced soon. This will not be an ordinary concert, but a unique experience where sound and music meet the distinctive atmosphere and architecture of the space.
Light, visuals, and a remarkable building become the setting for a unified narrative, unfolding through moments from Theodore’s discography as well as new material. A world changing at a pace we can barely follow, a bleak present from which we often turn our gaze away, and the necessary persistence to still find light, companionship, and hope within it.
The thematic inspiration behind this concept comes from Theodore’s upcoming single of the same name, “A Cold Summer,” which will be released on June 19.
With a 15-year career and five full-length albums to his name, Theodore has performed at some of the most important festivals across Europe and the United States, while in 2019 he was selected by Bob Boilen for an NPR Tiny Desk session.
The concert will open with THE Astrolabe, the cinematic electro-pop music project created by Athens-based artist Thanasis Yiamas. Since 2024, they have performed live in London and Athens, gathered millions of views and streams, and gained international media presence – including an appearance on the iconic Channel 4 show Sunday Brunch in the UK with the LOVERS clip, as well as an extensive feature in the British edition of Rolling Stone. They also reached the semi-finals of Sing for Greece (Eurovision 2026) with their song “Drop It.”
