On Wednesday, October 8, Christmas Theater presents “Murmuration” by Sadeck Berrabah at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus – a poetic ode to collectivity, harmony, and human geometry.
Inspired by the natural choreography and geometric patterns of starling flocks (murmuration), Berrabah translates this mesmerizing phenomenon into a dance composition of perfect synchronization and visual magic. With 50 dancers on stage, moving through “variable geometry” and the use of tutting – a dance style based on geometric arm and body movements – Murmuration becomes a living artwork, an embodiment of the transcendent harmony that emerges within collectivity.
For this special evening at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Sadeck’s creative team has prepared exclusive projection mapping visuals, a contemporary artistic intervention that “converses” with the ancient stage. This is not simply a dance show – it is a deeply immersive experience, a celebration of unity, spiritual attunement, and emotional resonance. Every movement, rhythm, and shape is precisely crafted to awaken a heightened sense of belonging, balance, and participation.

About the choreographer
Sadeck Berrabah is recognized as one of the most innovative figures in contemporary choreography, with collaborations that include Shakira, Chris Brown, and the Black Eyed Peas, and appearances at prestigious events such as the Grammy Awards and the Olympic Games ceremonies in Tokyo and Paris. Murmuration represents the pinnacle of his creative journey – a work where technique meets soul.
“We dance to show what the body can achieve
when it moves in absolute harmony with others.
Harmony is the most powerful message we can send today.”
Following its world premiere at Théâtre Le 13e Art in Paris in April 2023, the international tour of Murmuration continues with stops across Europe, the Middle East, Canada, China, and the Caribbean.
