The unparalleled virtuosity of the Camerata musicians, in collaboration with distinguished Greek soloists, breathes life into a concert dedicated to the brilliance and freshness of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s concertos.
On Sunday, November 2, at 20:30, at the Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall, audiences are invited to a unique experience of authentic listening, as the works are performed on period instruments, offering a sound as close as possible to the aesthetic of Mozart’s time.
Gut-stringed instruments, a Classical-period traverso flute and bassoon, an 1802 harp, and two fortepianos modeled after those of the renowned maker Anton Walter – the very kind Mozart himself used – form the foundation of a program that celebrates both historical accuracy and musical truth.

Under the direction of George Petrou, the orchestra presents four of Mozart’s most beloved concertos.
The Bassoon Concerto reveals the expressive eloquence of this rare instrument, while the Concerto for Flute and Harp exudes ethereal beauty and romantic sensitivity. The Violin Sonata No. 3 overflows with youthful energy and grace, and the Concerto for Two Pianos captivates with its structure and the vivid dialogue between the two soloists.
A concert where Mozart’s melodic imagination meets historically informed performance, reviving a musical past with contemporary sensitivity and authentic instruments.
