From Off-Off Broadway to Athens: NOTED by The Back Pack

Coming from the other side of the Atlantic and arriving in Athens on April 5th and 6th, the famous and award-winning “The Back Pack”. The famous non-spoken group from New York comes to Greece for the first time and presents, for only 2 performances at the Roes Theatre, its latest creation “NOTED”, which has been praised by the New York press.

A comic feast of four performers using the techniques of clowning, puppetry, animation, shadow theater, stop motion and the creation of live sound with natural materials (foley techniques) and whatever else they find in front of them! Movement, music, dance and multimedia in an unforgettable experience straight from the heart of Manhattan.

“The Back Pack” is one of the most important comedy and dance groups in the USA, whose shows have been described as “live cartoons”. They started in the Northwest and are now based in New York City. The founding members (Katie Kohler, Pete Betcher, Jeremiah Rosenberger, and Justin Morley) began creating and performing these “offbeat”, silent, comedic performances while students at the University of Montana in 2008. All of their works are originally conceived, created, and performed entirely by these four extraordinary performers. They have received awards for their work including two B. Iden Payne Awards, an Austin Critics Table Award, four Best of Fest Awards from Frontera Fest, and were recognized as one of the top four groups at the recent Philadelphia Fringe Festival.

The show that we will see in Athens is NOTED. It was presented with great success at THE TANK THEATRE in New York this season.
