“PHOTON”: Ben Klock’s audiovisual project returns to Athens at Universe

1 min read

PHOTON, the emblematic experience by Ben Klock that merges sound, light, and architecture into a ritual of energy and perception, returns to Athens on Saturday, November 8, at Universe Athens

Following appearances in legendary venues such as Printworks in London and Gashouder in Amsterdam, the project arrives with a renewed visual identity, exploring the power of white light across its full spectrum from the warm glow of 2,800 Kelvin to the icy intensity of 10,000.

At the core of PHOTON Athens 2025 stand five artists representing distinct facets of techno, forming together a unified, explosive nucleus. Ben Klock, Berghain resident and founder of Klockworks, leads the project with his imposing, disciplined sound where sonic precision meets emotional tension. Neux, with her relentless, razor-sharp approach, channels the new generation of the European underground, bridging the present to the techno of tomorrow. Luke Slater returns as Planetary Assault Systems with a live performance of force and stripped-down perfection, an ode to the circular nature of sound and time. Rødhåd, master of darkness and atmosphere, offers contemplative depth, an experience oscillating between industrial melancholy and existential calm. Finally, Stef Mendesidis will deliver a live set built entirely on analog equipment, transforming rhythm into physical force and the machine into an extension of the human body.

From its inception, PHOTON has never been just another electronic music event. It is an almost mystic experience where light does not illuminate but pierces, and sound is not merely heard but inhabited. A journey to the edges of perception, where the body becomes a conductor of energy and time dissolves in darkness.

PHOTON Athens 2025 is presented once again by Blend, SEDS & VLCT three forces shaping both the present and the future of electronic culture in Greece. A night dedicated to the continuous convergence of sound and light on the dancefloor the point where everything loses its form and becomes pure experience.
