Hidroliq and Sugahspank! Join Forces for a Psychedelic Soul Session at STOA Culture

As part of its Summer in the Atrium programme, STOA Culture, with PPC as Grand Sponsor, welcomes Hidroliq and Sugahspank! for a special musical encounter that brings the vibrant energy of Athens’ contemporary jazz, funk and soul scene to the Atrium of the historic Arsakeio Arcade.

Emerging on the Athenian music scene in 2022, Hidroliq quickly established a distinctive sound that defies conventional genre boundaries. Rooted in jazz improvisation and driven by the powerful rhythms of funk, the band explores the intensity of rock, the immediacy of hip hop, and the atmospheric textures of neo-soul and drum ‘n’ bass, creating a musical language that balances experimentation with irresistible groove.

Having already impressed audiences through performances at acclaimed venues and festivals, including Gazarte and the Rhodes Jazz Festival, Hidroliq have earned a reputation for their explosive live energy and commanding stage presence. At the same time, the band is currently working on its debut album, featuring original compositions that reflect its evolving artistic identity.

At STOA Culture, Hidroliq will be joined by Sugahspank!, one of the most distinctive voices of the Greek music scene. Renowned for her soulful vocals, magnetic stage presence and fearless artistic curiosity, she has built a singular career that moves effortlessly between soul, jazz, blues and contemporary musical influences.

Together, Hidroliq and Sugahspank! promise an evening where groove, psychedelia and improvisation converge in a dynamic musical journey. Psychedelic Soul Session celebrates contemporary musical expression, bringing together jazz, soul, funk and spontaneous creativity in the unique atmosphere of Athens’ summer cultural scene.

As the first live experience to unfold within the STOA ecosystem, STOA Culture, with PPC as Grand Sponsor, sets the stage for the five flagship experiences that will gradually activate the historic Arsakeio Arcade through culture, creativity and public engagement.
