The exhibition “KSENOI” at ATOPOS cvc: Artists open a dialogue on roots, loss, and the meaning of “home.”

“KSENOI PROJECTS” – an independent creative platform supporting emerging Greek artists who feel like “strangers” – returns to Athens with a new group exhibition at ATOPOS cvc, running from September 25 to 28.

Following its successful debut exhibition in London in 2023, which attracted more than 400 visitors, the next chapter unfolds in Athens. Titled “KSENOI”, the exhibition brings together a polyphony of artistic perspectives around themes of identity, heritage, and belonging within the framework of contemporary Greekness.

At the heart of the exhibition lies the knot – a powerful symbol of connection, complexity, and the intertwining paths that shape us. The knot may appear chaotic or intricate, yet it serves as a point of collective memory, anchoring our identity and reminding us of where we come from, where we belong, or perhaps where we once belonged. It embodies experiences, memories, journeys, and cultural references, becoming a poetic metaphor for the layered fabric of personal and shared histories.

The exhibition continues the mission of KSENOI PROJECTS: to empower artists, build communities, and foster new connections through the transformative power of art. The participating artists explore the personal and cultural strata of their identities through painting, weaving, photography, video, and installations, opening a dialogue on roots, loss, and the meaning of “home.”

Participating artists:
Valia Kapeletzi, Orestis Katsoulis, Akti Konstantinou, Chloe Kountouridou, Marianna Koulianou, Margarita Koulouri, Marilia Lezou, Danae Lyratzi, Anna Makri, Maritina Manthopoulou, Anni Riga, Natalia Talamagka, Margarita Velentza, Sofia Vougiatzi, Ilektra Xyni.
