From April 1 to May 9, the SG Art Gallery at the St. George Lycabettus hotel presents the exhibition “From London to Athens | Presenting Important Masters: Picasso, Warhol, Bacon, Hirst, Banksy and more”, showcasing significant works – paintings, drawings and signed editions – by Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Francis Bacon, Damien Hirst, Banksy and other major artists of the 20th century.
This remarkable presentation marks an important cultural moment for Athens, a city with a rich artistic heritage, offering a rare opportunity for the public to experience museum-quality works from the distinguished London-based Andipa Gallery. The works will be on view to the public and available for acquisition, creating a unique opportunity for collectors and art enthusiasts in Greece.
The exhibition “From London to Athens – Important Masters” unfolds as a creative dialogue between two organizations that share a common philosophy: the value of people and relationships. On the one hand, Andipa Gallery brings decades of experience in the private placement of significant artworks on an international level, while on the other, St. George Lycabettus demonstrates its ongoing commitment to innovative exhibition programming and the support of artistic creation in Athens.

St. George Lycabettus has long been an active supporter of art and culture in the city, serving as a space where hospitality meets culture in a creative way. Through initiatives such as the pioneering Rooms exhibitions, which for over twenty years transformed the hotel’s private spaces into immersive artistic experiences, as well as through collaborations with international galleries – such as Belgravia Gallery, which introduced the Greek public to the unique lithographs of King Charles III – the hotel has played a meaningful role in redefining how art is experienced within the city.

This initiative is part of the broader vision of the non-profit organization Hotel Donor, the think tank behind the SG Art Gallery at St. George Lycabettus, which develops parallel activities that foster dialogue between tourism and culture, with a steady commitment to the protection and promotion of cultural heritage.
