CLUB MONAMOUR returns this NYE for one of the most anticipated parties of the season —hosted by Mona and Pharaoh – Athens’ most renowned venues, loved for their distinct aesthetics, eclectic programming, and unmatchable atmosphere.
This exclusive, vinyl-only celebration takes over the underground club space of Mona hotel in Psirri, delivering an unforgettable evening inspired by the pulsating energy of Italo-disco and genre-defying beats. Expect the most interesting people in town against an expertly curated lineup of DJs, spinning deep dancing grooves until the late hours.
Special guest of the night, Sicilian DJ and music producer DJ SCM (Maurizio Schirò), based in Berlin, brings an exploration of sound that transcends genres, spanning Balearic, Italo-disco, afro-boogie, and early house. Through his platform WATAJ Recordings, SCM releases his own work and of other fellow Italian artists, featuring disco and balearic tunes.
Joined by renowned Maik Nait from the Kasseta Records collective – a key member of the Athenian scene for over a decade and a passionate vinyl collector.
Giorgos Koutivas (Polyphonia Project) from Avia in Messinia, Mani, warms up the night, and weaves-in an eclectic multi-genre set.
This is the place to be for real vibes this New Year’s Eve.

ABOUT MONA
Located in the heart of downtown Athens, Mona represents a new era for the concept-led boutique hotel and multi-disciplinary space. Staged in an eight-storey industrial factory from the 1950s, it features 20 characterful rooms, a concept pop-up living room space and a speakeasy underground club. Steeped in the spirit of the city, Mona is a sprawling playground for travelers, artists, emerging and established brands, photo and film productions, pop-up happenings and private events of all visions. CLUB MONAMOUR is Mona’s signature party bringing together exciting DJs, performers and eclectic guests.
ABOUT PHARAOH
Pharaoh, a wine bar/restaurant, is the brainchild of travel and food journalist Fotis Vallatos, acclaimed chef Manolis Papoutsakis—celebrated for his culinary artistry at Deka Trapezia and Haroupi in Thessaloniki—wine aficionado Perry Panagiotakopoulos, and esteemed baritone Dimitris Platanias.
Set in a post-industrial ambiance, Pharaoh showcases design elements ranging from mosaic and stainless steel to cement. The décor is enriched with Greek ceramics and a meticulously curated collection of eclectic artifacts from across the globe. A standout feature is its expansive bookstore, which boasts an array of vinyl records, fresh vegetables, and pieces of wood.
Pharaoh’s kitchen operates without electricity or gas, relying solely on wood-fired stoves, charcoal grills, and wood-fired ovens to revive traditional Greek cuisine in its purest form. Chef Papoutsakis aims to demonstrate that Greek cuisine, beyond its contemporary acclaim, deserves to be celebrated in its authentic form, as traditionally prepared in villages and homes throughout the country. This approach emphasizes the richness and value of local, seasonal ingredients in simple yet sophisticated dishes.
The ingredients are consistently seasonal and organic, cooked over fire as tradition dictates, focusing not on presentation but on capturing the essence and identity of authentic Greek flavors. This rare approach allows a prominent Greek chef to eschew creativity in favor of presenting unadulterated cuisine, moving away from tourist clichés that often distort traditional dishes. Traditional Greek cuisine is reimagined and delivered in this modern setting with expertise, knowledge, and a deep appreciation for Greek culinary heritage.
Signature dishes include grilled wild greens with fresh anthotyro cheese, lamb in a refined egg-and-lemon sauce accompanied by wild chicory, chestnut stew with onions, steamed John Dory with artichokes, asparagus, and peas, and sumptuous crayfish drizzled with clarified butter and garnished with thyme.
Pharaoh transcends the typical dining experience. It doubles as a wine bar, boasting an extensive selection of over 400 carefully chosen natural wine labels from Greece and worldwide. It is also a listening bar where the city’s top DJs play eclectic tunes from vinyl on a state-of-the-art stereo system.
