Morrissey returns to Athens for a one-night-only live show at the Faliro Indoor Arena – Tae Kwon Do

1 min read

With his uncompromising character that makes him unique, and his tendency to keep audiences in constant anticipation, the British artist takes the Tae Kwon Do stage for an evening filled with classic songs from his solo career as well as from his time with The Smiths.

Tickets go on sale Friday, October 3, at 12:00.

About the artist

Steven Patrick Morrissey, known simply as Morrissey, first rose to fame as the lead singer of The Smiths. With his distinctive, theatrical voice and razor-sharp lyrics-infused with romance, cynicism, and humor-he managed in just five years and four albums to leave behind a significant legacy.

In March 1988, he released Viva Hate, marking the beginning of his solo career. A series of albums followed, including Your Arsenal (1992) and Vauxhall and I (1994). In the early 2000s, he made a triumphant return with You Are The Quarry (2004), which met with great success and proved that Morrissey remained one of the most intriguing figures in the alternative scene. Ringleader of the Tormentors (2006) confirmed his enduring presence, while Years of Refusal (2009), World Peace Is None of Your Business (2014), and Low in High School (2017) found him exploring new expressive directions.
