From October 10 to November 2, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the legendary Nina Simone comes to life once more on stage in a powerful musical theatre performance at Mikros Kerameikos Theatre.

Conceived and written by Sotiris Karamesinis, Nina Simone – Four Octaves of Freedom draws on the iconic artist’s songs and historical records to craft a deeply researched, multifaceted portrait. Through interviews, documentaries, books, films—and above all, Simone’s own autobiography—the performance brings forth the voice of a woman who never stopped fighting for her truth and her freedom.

Taking the audience on a journey through Simone’s extraordinary life and music, Idra Kayne and Sassa Papalambrou—two electrifying performers—invite us to rediscover the spirit of a woman who dedicated her existence to music, justice, dignity, love, and the beauty of life itself.
