A retrospective exhibition of fashion photographer Bill Georgoussis, curated by Nicolas Vamvouklis. Featuring highlights from his 30-year international career, unseen archives, and a participatory installation exploring contemporary image-making

K-Gold Temporary Gallery presents Push Plus One, a new exhibition by fashion photographer Bill Georgoussis. Curated by Nicolas Vamvouklis, the show offers a distilled retrospective of the acclaimed artist’s 30-year international career, enriched with previously unseen archival material.

One of the very few Greek image-makers to maintain long-standing collaborations with leading fashion and art magazines worldwide, Georgoussis has worked across the full arc of the medium’s recent history: from the golden age of print to the profound technological shift from analogue photography and film to today’s relentless circulation of digital images. This transition fundamentally reshaped both the aesthetics and the visual language of the global fashion industry-terrain that Georgoussis has navigated with singular consistency and clarity.

Push Plus One traces his ongoing inquiry into how images are made and what it means to be a photographer-in an era defined by content overproduction. Against this frenetic backdrop, his practice remains anchored in a slower, more deliberate rhythm: fewer frames, more attention; a gaze attuned to observation, simplicity, and the distilled essence of things.

For the exhibition, Georgoussis also creates a new participatory installation that invites visitors into the intimate mechanics of his process. Personal objects, technical equipment, and analogue experiments converse with one another, opening a window onto the quiet architecture behind his images. A bilingual (Greek/English) catalogue designed by Marlon Tate accompanies the exhibition.

Bill Georgoussis (b. 1965, Melbourne) is a fashion photographer based in Athens. He studied Fine Art Photography and Film at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He began his professional career in Spain and has since lived and worked in Milan, Paris, New York, and London. His photographs have appeared in international publications including Arena Homme+, Dazed & Confused, Self Service, i-D, L’Officiel, Jalouse, Amica, Rolling Stone, and Purple Fashion, among many others.
